May 9, 2013. Anderson Academic Commons 290, 4-7 p.m.
The University Writing Program announces the first ever COMPosium, a conference of student writing and research, to be held May 9, 2013, from 4–7 pm in the new Anderson Academic Commons. The conference will include a general exhibition/poster session and some reading/performance sessions. We’ve invited students to display work in multiple media, including Posters, Videos (e.g., video arguments, remix videos, Public Service Announcements), Multimedia projects, conventional essays, and so on.
We’ll also make a few writing awards to some outstanding first year writers. The entire campus community is invited to stop by, chat with students and faculty, and enjoy refreshments. There will be a come-and-go-at-your-leisure component of the event, and we’ll have a complete schedule available in advance.
